
The second annual Mahaguru Bumtsok has been successfully conducted by the Nechung Buddhist Center of Bay Area in San Francisco from October 9 – 15 of this year. The Head Lama, medium of the State Oracle of Tibet, Ven. Thupten Ngodup, led the prayer ceremony for one week. It was exceptionally well attended by mainly the

Tibetan public there and the youth participated equally gracefully.
Five monks, including the Ven. Thupten Ngodup, have departed from the Nechung Monastery on the 28th of October for preparations of this exclusive program, which was incepted by the monastery and the resident lama Ven. Ngawang Khenrab, to uphold the cultural and spiritual events very much alive in the west as many new Tibetans migrated there, especially in the Bay Area. It is also mainly aimed at showing the younger generation about our cultural

heritage in everyday life.

All Tibetans and a number of Americans and also other nationalities have attended and were ultimately honoured and grateful at the event held again in their community.
At the concluding event, the Venerable Thupten Ngodup, bestowed each participants the renowned Vajrakilaya blessing, which most of the people were anticipating. The event then concluded in great joy and happiness and everyone was satisfied and thankful at the effort the Nechung Buddhist Center took up and that the Medium of Tibet’s Chief State Oracle and monks were able to return to the Bay Area.
